Rockman Music’s
brand new show Dolly – A Celebration of the Leading Lady of Country,
will be kicking up the dust at the Opera
House Theatre, Blackpool.
The two hour show, featuring a full cast of singers, dancers
and superb musicians, is the first of it’s kind, dedicated to the
award winning legend that is Dolly Parton.
Led by acclaimed country singer Jeanne Jordan, who was introduced to
country music by the famous Gibb brothers, the show takes you on a
musical journey through Dolly’s early days to her arena concerts of
today.
Jeanne has long been associated with Dolly Parton, having performed as
her for many years in various hit country music shows and was even
present at the recording of the Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ hit ‘Islands
In The Stream’, but this is the first time that Jeanne will be
performing a full show of Dolly’s hits.
Joining Jeanne in the spotlight is 27 year-old Emily Clarke, who will
portray Dolly through her younger years. Emily has previously toured
with a number of hit UK theatre shows and is sure to impress with her
vocal talent and charisma – not to mention her Dolly-like assets!
Providing the beats to tap your cowboy boot to are the BJ Thomas band.
A six piece band made up of some of the UK’s top country musicians,
between them the members have toured with such greats as Charlie
Landsborough, Crystal Gayle, Albert Lee, Heather Myles and George
Hamilton IV and V.
Packed with all of Dolly’s hits, such as; 9 to 5, I Will Always
Love You, Islands in the Stream, Jolene, Here You Come Again, Coat of
Many Colors and many more, all performed on a great stage set,
this is one show you can’t afford to miss!
